The GM Family First Story

Launched in Canada December 01, 2001, the concept of Family First goes back to 1995, when GMAC Mortgage in the U.S. created the Family First brand to better service the General Motors customer. GMAC Mortgage had been helping people fulfill their homeownership dreams for over ten years in the U.S. but it wanted to provide more for its GM customers. The Family First program was designed to provide GM family members with exclusive products and services to save time and money for all their home financing needs. The success of the Family First program encouraged the enterprise to add more of GMAC's products and services to the Family First line-up. GMAC products offered through the enterprise now include home mortgage, real estate, relocation services, auto and homeowner's insurance, Demand Notes, Smart Notes, auto financing and leasing.
